There are several professional development opportunities for individuals who want to learn more about Career and Technical Education academic programs, careers, and state and local employment trends. Listed here are few resources which provide more information about CTE.  

The Northeast Perkins consortium Perkins coordinators provide targeted training for CTE instructors and administrators regarding how to create an articulation agreement with an area high school. For more information please see the articulation agreement webpage.

Secondary Consortium Leaders Meetings

This annual conference is planned by committee members from the Minnesota State colleges and Minnesota Department of Education. The conference has expanded over the years to become the premier conference connecting the career and technical education community in the Upper Midwest. Attendees and participants include high school, colleges and universities, workforce, local business and industry partners, and our local communities – who come together to share best practices in CTE.

This collaborative partnership enables the college to leverage information and resources available through Trades Hub to connect Generation Z in Minnesota with the employers and technical schools looking to hire and train them. The Trades Hub features job, career training, scholarship, event, and resource boards to help students and others explore trades and manufacturing careers and then take their first steps on a well-defined path.
